Reverend Paul Vigil
Fr. Paul Vigil is an "Angelino". He was born in Hollywood and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. HIs parents met at St. Robert Bellarmine Jefferson Catholic High School in Burbank. They later married and were blessed with five children, four girls and the only boy – Father Paul!
He graduated from Catholic parochial schools: St. Luke Grammar School in Temple City and Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, where he played football and was active in campus ministry.
Fr. Paul received his A.A. from Pasadena City College, then worked two years at the Y.M.C.A. as an Athletic Director while also working in shipping and receiving. He resumed his studies at St. John's College Seminary in Camarillo, where he received his B.A. in Philosophy. Fr. Paul then enrolled at St. John's School of Theology, where he received his Master of Divinity upon graduation in 1991.
His Ordination to the priesthood took place that same year at historic St. Vibiana's Cathedral, officiated by then Cardinal-elect Roger Mahony. During his second parish assignment at St. Lawrence Martyr in Redondo Beach, Fr. Paul earned an M.A. in Theology from St. John’s School of Theology. He was then appointed Administrator of Ascension Church in Los Angeles, followed by his appointment as Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena in the San Fernando Valley, culminating in his current appointment as St. Timothy’s Pastor in 2009.
