VIRTUS Training
Before you can be a Eucharistic Minister or a Lector, you must complete training mandated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles as part of the "Protecting Our Children" program. The training, called VIRTUS, is a three hour class that may be taken at various locations throughout the Archdiocese.
Sign up for your VIRTUS class by going to the VIRTUS website and selecting "Registration," "List of Training Sessions" and then under "Organization" picking "Los Angeles - Our Lady of the Angels Pastoral Region." If there is not a class offered at St. Timothy on the current schedule or the date of our parish-based class is not convenient, you may then select from a list of classes in our area.
When you have completed the training, please make sure you register on the VIRTUS website. Retain the certificate of completion and bring it with you when you participate in your training session.
Safeguard the Children
All adult volunteers, by Archdocesan policy, must acknowledge annually receipt of the "Guidlines for Adults Interacting with Minors."
